Tough Skin

Can you recall a time where you personally have dealt with a troll or cyberbully online? Dealing with those types of people require tough skin. I can recall a time when I was in 8th grade, I was running for Freshmen Class President and a lot of drama surrounded it. Somebody went out of their way to make an anonymous Kik account to tell me I was worthless and that I should kill myself. Back then, I was really young and it took a toll on me. I wasn't comfortable in my own skin so I actually believed the person and questioned my self worth. Now that I'm older and aware of who I am and what I'm capable of, I look back at those times and it makes me sad! I ended up becoming Freshmen Class President and doing so many great things with my life while that person still remains unknown and anonymous like a coward. Like did you really tell me to kill myself over an ASB election? Get your life together. Don't let those masked losers get to you!

  1. I am so sorry that you had to go through something like that! It sounds absolutely awful. Thankfully, I have never been a victim of cyberbullying. I actually try to lay low on social media in fear of being cyberbullied. I commend you on staying strong during such a hard time, and winning ASB Freshmen Class President. Way to prove them wrong!
