Instagram has recently updated their application with a new live streaming feature. They always seem to be copying everything, but I think it's great that they are trying to eliminate apps on my phone. Going live is an interesting way to share events and moments with your followers and has a different set of experiences compared to their stories. The reason why is mostly because everything that you are recording is raw footage. Unlike a video or a story, you cannot edit or cut things out in live videos. Live streaming is something that involves being very comfortable with change and understanding that plans will not always go as planned. I went live just to test things out and I was extremely curious. I learned that while you are streaming, people who are watching can comment and give you hearts for you to see. Once I discovered this, I saw this as a great tool and also a very destructive tool. People can praise you and bully you, which is one of the uncharted waters that you can not be entirely sure about when you are live. But since people are not anonymous, I believe that people are less likely to bully since their names are pasted with their comments. What do you think about it?
I'm so glad to see you hyped about this and more so being comfortable with streaming for others live! You definitely have that eccentric and outgoing personality that fits perfectly. You even entertain your whole table during English class. I think it's an interesting new category of social media and I'm excited to see where this heads to. Best of luck to your new-found interest :)
