Growing outside of your comfort zone

It's pretty scary to go out of your comfort zone. In the latter half of this year I did just that. I feel much more open and knowledgable about my environment and the people close to me. You grow as a person when you step into the world and out of your common space.

It's one big epiphanic adventure.
Whether the things may be good or bad, people aren't always going to agree with you but it's okay.
For experiencing a mediocre 2016 I, myself, will try and make 2017 a better year.

Be open to change, new adventures, new people.
Everything that went wrong in 2016 that you know have the capability to change, do it.
Don't carry it on into the new year.

Every day brings new opportunities for growth and more knowledge.
Start living with less regrets, be more appreciative, caring, and understanding.
I always generally have a pessimistic mentality with regards to school and boring life.
But understanding that people also have similar thoughts and feelings made me become more empathetic. It reminded me of that article we read earlier this year called, "This is Water" by David Foster Wallace.

What are your goals for the new year? Do you think you'll abide them?
What are some times you stepped out of your comfort zone and experienced something new?
How was your 2016?

  1. For the New Year, I want to get my own car and I am definitely set on this as I have been already saving for a while.
