AKA Catfish

Whenever we began this unit on trolling, the first thing that came to my mind was the MTV show, "Catfish". In case some of you haven't seen the show, it was started by a guy named Nev, that was romantically talking to a 'girl' online. Although they spent a couple of years talking before actually meeting in person, she ended up being someone completely different. Now he helps many people around the nation to solve their online friendships that may just be a screen to screen relationship.
Although this isn't exactly the same thing as trolling, I guess so consider it similar just because they are either being someone they are not, or simply just using anonymous accounts for some reason. But I was just curious if anybody else thought of the tv show, "Catfish" when we read the article last week. The reasons are typically, because they are bored or because they just have low self esteem issues, but either way it seems to be something common today with social media being in the middle of our lives everyday.
