*Sigh*
Although social media has positive aspects such as discovering new people, places, and interests, I sometimes wish society did not have social media at all. If we did not have social media today, things would be different and more genuine. People would be able to meet someone for the first time in reality without already "knowing" who they were already. Social media gives an impression that we seemingly "know" who someone is based off of their pictures, videos, and feed;however, we do not truly know their personal life or who they really are.Sometimes, I find myself meeting new people & thinking "Oh, yeah I follow them on Instagram" and subconsciously I have already developed a pre-judgment on who I think they are. But honestly when I meet someone for the first time, I would like to avoid passing judgement because you do not give yourself a chance to perhaps meet someone you genuinely connect with. Unfortunately, social media makes it hard to do so because it is human nature to observe and judge someone unintentionally, without even knowing so.( I could go on & on with plenty more examples..) *sigh*

I agree with you, in honestly I don't think we can take anything from the internet to be true and genuine. People on the internet can be totally different in person, when I heard people talk about other people I kinda wish I didn't learn something about that person before I even know them personally. I'm on board with your idea of pre-judgement, it really sticks in your head what other people say about others. I can't remember when people genuinely asked someone to be their friend without asking for their social media ( instagram & snapchat ) Although it does benefit in getting to know them from on screen it really takes away from getting to know them personally.
