Can the Trolls be Avoided?
As our society becomes more enveloped with the use of technology, positives and negatives have come along side with it. One of these negatives I speak of are trolls. Trolls come in many forms and they have increased in numbers online. They deliberately post offensive and provocative material in order to receive an angry response. Some say to rid of the trolls, we must not give a reaction to them. However, I believe that it is easier said than done. Some people may be strong enough to resist the urge to respond back, but trolls will post very offensive material and some will not be able to resist giving the reaction that trolls desire. Others believe that all society needs to do is to report/delete their posts. However, the internet makes it very easy for these trolls to continue posting even after a post has been deleted. So is there an actual way that trolls can be avoided? What are your thoughts?

I agree with you. Trolls have numerous ways of getting into peoples business. Its very hard to get the trolls to leave you alone and sometimes it seems near impossible because everything you do just feeds them whether its ignoring them or fighting back. I personally think the best thing to do is ignore them but that doesn't work all the time either.
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that there aren't any big, complex ways to get rid of these trolls yet. Creating another account is always just a few clicks and fillers away, and these people have no trouble in making several accounts at once. I agree with you that we can't give our reactions to them, as it will only add to the fire and frustration. For now, we can only ignore/block them, and hope for the best.
