As the year inches towards its end, many of us are only waiting
impatiently for (a much needed) break. Some time to rest body and mind is
something that I’ll certainly be happy to take advantage of. But with this year
coming to a close, think about what you’ve gone through these past months.
Whatever it may be, many of us surely have gone through new experiences that
may or may not have had big impacts on our lives. An obvious one is applying
for college. But what else? What were some goals that you hit, and what were some
that you came up short on? More importantly, what have you done to improve and
make yourself a better person?
We are asking these same questions of ourselves all the
time, especially around the end of the year where we reflect on our past and
look forward to the future. As we move from 2016 to the New Year, try to reach
for some change and improvement, as there is always room for that in our lives. Push your limits. Try a new schedule. Put a
little more effort in. Meet new people. We have all heard these phrases over
and over again, and as cliché as they may sound, they ultimately can give
benefit for the better when you take them to heart.
