Deadlines With No Motivation

Most of our college deadlines are slowly approaching, whether it's the common app, cal state, or UC applications. But although the deadlines are coming up, I seem to be at a stage where I just can't get it done! I have no motivation, and no time. I have a feeling that this may be a slight taste of what senioritis is like!
Although I am slowly taking baby steps each day to get my applications done and turn them in on time, I am so grateful that we have this next week off for thanksgiving break. Although it is a 'break', most of us senior will simply just be catching up on our application processes and finalizing them.
My plan is to get them all submitted by the 26th! But I know there are many people that will just wait for the 30th, the last day, to submit them.

My question is: Does anybody else feel the deadline getting closer and closer, but have no motivation? Is it senioritis? Or just simply procrastination? Do we all plan to use next week as a week of catch up? Do you have a deadline for yourself to submit your applications?

  1. Yes, I'm so grateful for this Thanksgiving break so that I can finish my applications but at the same time I'm stressing out !

  2. To be honest, I'm trying really hard to not let senioritis hit me. I worked really hard all of junior year to get rid of my nasty procrastination habit so I made sure that I got all my college apps turned in early so I wouldn't have to worry about it later.

  3. I honestly feel the exact same way. Each day I try my best to get my applications done, but time goes by so fast that I feel like I am not doing as much as I should be doing. I will definitely be using next week to look over my applications carefully and hopefully submit them by the 26th too!

  4. I agree with you about having no motivation to finish applications. Procrastination is hitting me harder this year than the years before. I think it is really weird because I thought I would be on top of applications since it is really important.

  5. I feel your pain I have also been putting off my deadline s but they're coming up fast. This rampaging break will be very helpful to relieve my stresses and give me much time to think and be productive without having the worries of other assignments.

  6. Although I have procrastinated in the past, this year has been the worse. Like you said, no motivation whatsoever! I promised myself to finish applications before the end of October but now it's mid-way through November. I will also be using my break wisely to catch up.

  7. I feel you! The closer it gets, the more stress and nervous I get! Theres just so much work I still need to do such as revising personal statements, other schools application, FASFA, and not to mention juggling with school work as well. I do think it's procrastination, but also because we're so busy with senior year. It's okay we have thanksgiving break! In other words, food!
